Why do I need to update my authentication methods (SCA)?

Why is this update mandatory?

To keep accessing your account and approving your transactions securely, your authentication methods must be up to date.

This includes your trusted mobile (for approving operations via push notifications / biometrics) and your contact details (phone number).

These elements are essential to comply with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), as required by European regulation.

I use the Sogexia app: what do I need to do?

If you use the mobile app, two steps are required:

1. Register your trusted mobile

Your trusted mobile allows you to receive push notifications to approve your login and transactions (including 3D Secure).

See the dedicated FAQ: How do I add a trusted mobile?

2. Check that your phone number is up to date

Your phone number must be correct so that you can receive backup codes when needed.

You can check this directly from your client area. If your number is not up to date, you can update it by following the steps described in our FAQ article.

I use Sogexia from my computer (without the app): what do I need to do?

If you access Sogexia from a computer or a phone without using the mobile app, you must:

1. Make sure your phone number is correct

This is necessary to receive validation SMS if you do not yet have a trusted mobile.

See our dedicated FAQ to learn how to update your phone number.

2. Register a trusted mobile as soon as possible

This will allow you to validate your operations more easily and more securely.

What happens if I don’t update my authentication methods?

Without a trusted mobile and up-to-date contact details, you will no longer be able to:

  • log in smoothly to your client area;

  • approve certain sensitive operations;

  • complete payments requiring strong authentication (3D Secure)?

In summary

To continue using your account without interruption:

  • Add your trusted mobile;

  • Check that the phone number linked to your account is up to date.
