What to do if you notice unauthorised payments on your Sogexia account?

If you discover unauthorized transactions on your account:

Check if your card is still in your possession.

Start by verifying that your Sogexia card is still in your possession. If the card has been lost or stolen, you must immediately block it to prevent further misuse.

Check if someone else has used your card.

If others in your household have access to your card, contact them to determine if they made the transactions. If no one you know initiated the payments, they are likely fraudulent, and you should block your card immediately.

Check for an online subscription.

It’s possible you subscribed to an online service, often via a free or low-cost trial offer (e.g., €1, €2, or €3). In such cases, your banking details may have been stored by the merchant for automatic recurring payments. You may have been subscribed without realizing it after the trial period ended.

⇒ What to do if you subscribed to a service?
If you signed up for a trial offer and want to cancel recurring payments, contact the merchant directly to request the removal of your banking details and cancellation of the subscription.

Check the merchant’s name on your statement.

Sometimes, payments on your bank statement are processed through a third-party payment platform, which may display a name different from the merchant or website. Verify the amount and date of the transactions to identify if they match purchases you made recently.

If, after all these checks, you are convinced the payments are fraudulent, you should:

  • Immediately block your card.
Go to the "My Cards" section, then select "Block Card" to prevent further transactions.
  • Contact our customer support to report unauthorized transactions and initiate an investigation.
