However, a few toll plazas and automatic car parks still have offline payment terminals. This means that these terminals cannot query our servers to find out whether you have a sufficient balance on your account to cover the amount of the transaction (which prevents overdrafts).
Your card may therefore be refused from time to time if the payment terminal is unable to request authorisation.
In these rare cases, we recommend that you pay at the cash desk.
However, this problem should not persist for long, as these terminals are currently being renewed to comply with new security standards, and will therefore be replaced by online terminals.
